Terms

Last updated 11 October 2026

These terms are the contract between you and Studdle for the app and this site. Version 2026-10-11. By creating an account you accept them; the version you accepted is stored on your account.

The service and who provides it

Studdle is run by Marton Roux, Entrepreneur individuel (EI), SIRET 927 772 541 00011, 2 chemin des Derons, 30870 Clarensac, France. Contact: support@studdle.fr.

Studdle is a study app for flashcards, quizzes, training and duels, with an AI assistant called Pebble. It comes in two plans: Free, and a paid plan called Pro. Pebble is on both; Pro gives you more credits to use it.

Your account

You must be at least 15 years old to use Studdle. We check this with the date of birth you give when you sign up. Each person may have one account, and the information you give must be accurate.

Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Your username is fixed once you sign up; your display name is not.

Your content

You own what you create and upload: your subjects, chapters, cards, quizzes, notes and images.

You grant Studdle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display and for AI processing, and display your content. Studdle uses it only to run the service, for as long as the content is in your account plus the 30-day deletion window.

Public subjects. By making a subject public, you grant every Studdle user a licence to view it, study from it and subscribe to it inside the app. Making it private again ends access for everyone who is not a collaborator, subscribers included.

Shared subjects. The same applies to a subject you share with collaborators or friends, limited to the people you shared it with.

You confirm that you have the rights to what you upload. Uploading pages of a textbook or a handout for your own study is generally treated as private use; publishing them in a public or shared subject may infringe the author’s rights, and Studdle removes such content on a valid notice.

Cards, quizzes, plans and answers that Pebble generates for you are yours to use. Studdle gives no warranty that they are accurate or original: check what matters.

Content rules

Do not post content that infringes someone’s rights or the law, or that is harassing, hateful, sexual or spam. Do not use cheating tools in duels, and do not scrape Studdle or access it by automated means.

If you break these rules, we may remove or restrict the content, suspend your account or delete it. You can appeal by writing to support@studdle.fr within 30 days of the decision.

Reporting content and copyright notices

To report a subject, use Report this subject in the app, or write to support@studdle.fr.

Your notice should give your identity and contact details, where the content is (the link to the subject), and the reason you are reporting it. For a copyright claim, add the work you say is copied and the basis for your claim. State also that you make the notice in good faith and that what it says is accurate and complete.

We acknowledge your notice, act on it, and tell you what we decided. A report does not automatically alert the owner of the subject. If we remove or restrict content, the uploader is told why, but not who reported it.

Every report is reviewed. Notices and appeals are handled in French or English. A person takes each decision; nothing is decided automatically.

Studdle’s property

The app, the names Studdle and Pebble, the Pebble character, the design and the code belong to Studdle. The open-source components we use are listed on the Licences page.

Pebble and AI

Pebble is an AI assistant, not a person or a teacher. Its answers can be wrong, so check anything that matters before you rely on it.

Credits are a usage allowance for Pebble, not money. They expire as described in the app.

Pro

Price. Pro costs €5.99 a month or €59 a year. Prices are in euros and include all taxes (VAT included).

Allowances. Free gives 25 credits a week and Pro gives 300. Unspent credits stack up to three weeks.

Free trial. Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. It needs a card, and the first charge is made at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.

Renewal. Pro renews automatically each period (tacit renewal). You can cancel at any time from Settings, Studdle Pro, or in the Stripe portal; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. On annual plans we email you a reminder before renewal.

Right of withdrawal. You can withdraw within 14 days of your first charge and we refund it in full. Any clear statement is enough: an email to support@studdle.fr, or a letter to the address above. You may use this model:

To: Marton Roux, EI, 2 chemin des Derons, 30870 Clarensac — support@studdle.fr. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the Studdle Pro subscription, ordered on [date]. Name, email, date.

Price changes are announced at least 30 days ahead. A new price applies only from your next period after that notice, never to a period you have already paid, and if you disagree you can cancel before it takes effect.

Payment. Stripe handles payment. If a renewal payment fails, Pro pauses straight away while Stripe retries the card. It comes back as soon as a payment goes through, and the subscription ends if every retry fails.

Availability and liability

Studdle is liable under the general law. For paid digital services, the legal guarantee of conformity (Code de la consommation, articles L224-25-12 and following) applies: Pro must work as described for the whole subscription. If it does not, you can ask for it to be fixed, for a price reduction, or to end the subscription. This guarantee is in addition to any commercial promise we make.

Studdle is a study aid, not a promise of results: how you do in an exam does not depend on us.

Ending the contract

You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account. Studdle can end it for a breach of these terms after notice, or immediately in case of abuse.

Law, disputes, mediation

These terms are governed by French law.

Name the consumer mediator Studdle has chosen, with the mediator’s website, as French law requires for sales to consumers. Not chosen yet; this is the one open item in these terms.

If a dispute goes to court, you can bring it before the courts of the place where you live.

Changes

For a material change to these terms, we email you 30 days ahead. If you disagree with a change, you can cancel before it takes effect. If you keep using Studdle after that, you accept the change. The version you accepted is stored on your account.
